One For The Money is based on an ever so popular series of books by Janet Evanovich, and is about Stephanie Plum, a lingerie saleswoman turned bounty hunter. Plum is played by Katherine Heigl in a charming little performance. The movie, as well, is pretty charming. It's just too bad that the movie's plot stinks. With such an entertaining film to display, I really wanted to like this film, but the plot ultimately brings it down too much. This film has the smelly scent of The Bounty Hunter, the awful 2010 Midnight Run rip off with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. I'm not just saying this because they're both about bounty hunters..I'm saying this because they have the exact same plot and tell the exact same jokes, but One For The Money just does it a lot better. Jason O Mara and Daniel Sunjata are also quite charming here as well, showing off their funny sides when they are mostly dramatic actors. One For The Money is too cliche to be good, but also too charming to be bad, it's just a middle of the road type of flick that misses the mark by that much.
