Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D Review

A dangerous method-one of many incredibly life threatening stunts performed in Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D
Nitro Circus is a group of guys (and 1 woman) who just want to have fun. When I went into Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D....I was hoping they would spread their wealth of fun. The first time I saw it...I sat in an non-air conditioned theater and, naturally, I stayed being the film buff that I am. However...it did not give me a clear perspective of how much fun these guys were. Yes...I went back and saw it a second time and managed to make out that this was actually a pretty fun film.

The Nitro Circus crew isn't quite Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, ETC but they are good at what they do. What they do is similar to that of the Jackass crew. However..these people perform make it or you die stunts while the guys from Jackass perform don't make it and you may be hurt but certainly not dead stunts. The film is in 3D which is almost unnecessary because it's set up like a documentary (and a good one at that) that you feel as if you're just watching a regular screen. However..when the stunts start getting under way..that's when you get your extra bucks worth.

The film features interviews from Rob Dyrdek, Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and yes..Channing Tatum. Although these do not seem like the ideal people to be talking about Nitro Circus bar Knoxville and maybe Tremaine....the interviews are actually pretty good. It all builds up to a live show at the MGM grand and yes...even Tatum has some interesting things to say about these group of people.

Although some may argue that this pales in comparison to Jackass....Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D stands on its own ground as a fun filled evening at the movies. Also...if you like Jackass so much that you're comparing it to the crew of Nitro Circus...this will be the closest thing to Jackass you will ever get to see the theater again. So go see Nitro Circus...these are definitely people you won't regret spending 90 minutes with.
(3 out of 5 Stars....The film is rated PG-13 for depiction of extreme and dangerous stunts throughout and for language)
